Painted plein air at the airboat ramp on Tamiami Trail and the 40 Mile bend.  I was here last week to paint a small study before the big rainstorm and the water was very shallow.   Came back a week later and there was at least a foot more water.  The birds had spread further out, but there still were quite  a few feeding in the area.  I especially enjoyed watching the snowy egret fishing and made sure to include him in the painting. There were roseate spoonbills, wood storks and many types of egrets and herons. Way in the distance, there must have been a hundred or more white egrets and other birds in a feeding frenzy.
