This is a roadside painting off of I-75 between Venice and Sarasota.  I was painting here with a friend and a Venice deputy pulled over to check out what we were doing and make sure all was ok. He is a Florida native from Lake Placid and told us he sees more and more development every day. This area was being surveyed just a few weeks ago and likely will be sold to developers for more houses.  We all agreed it is a shame to lose these beautiful areas that remind us of old Florida.
