This is a plein air painting from February at the Arthur Marshall Loxahatchee Wildlife Preserve.  I have a personal investment in this tree hammock. As a member of TREEmendousMiami, I participated several years ago in planting native hammock plants in this wetland restoration project.  It was exciting to see how well the plants grew and now the ones we planted look like natural hammocks in the marsh.
