This was painted on Tamiami Trail almost across from Big Cypress Gallery, late January. The water level now during dry season is quite low. This is a great place to see many wading birds at all times of the day. I’m planning to use this study as material for a larger studio painting.
Earlier, there must have been hundreds of white birds...egrets, wood storks, ibises. Then they were startled and all took off into the air. That was quite a sight.
